Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) was established as a realization of the visionary ideals of Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji, a revolutionary seer and spiritual leader. It is part of a larger mission aimed at guiding humanity in addressing the global socio-political, environmental, and economic challenges of the 21st century.
At the heart of DSVV's foundation lies the vision of Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji to create an institution that preserves and promotes Indian culture—referred to as Dev Sanskriti—by integrating practical knowledge (Shiksha) with spiritual wisdom (Vidya). This unique combination is designed to nurture truly enlightened individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society.

DSVV's curriculum merges state-of-the-art educational facilities with the profound wisdom of ancient traditions. Students are encouraged to lead a simple, spiritually enriched lifestyle while receiving the benefits of modern education. The University's Gyan Deeksha Ceremony, a Vedic ritual marking the start of each academic session, exemplifies this approach. During this ceremony, students are inspired to pursue knowledge rooted in values, while committing themselves to societal service.
A distinguishing feature of the University is its mandatory course in Scientific Spirituality and Life Management, spanning 2 to 4 semesters. This course focuses on essential life skills, ethical development, and universal human values such as truth, righteousness, peace, love, non-violence, and citizenship. The curriculum emphasizes holistic growth through practices like yoga, yagya, meditation, sports, and community service, ensuring the social, psychological, moral, and spiritual development of students.
In addition to its academic focus, DSVV has a flagship social internship program, Pariviksha, which provides students with practical experience in lifestyle management, social upliftment, and creative excellence. This program plays a key role in fostering character development and encouraging community engagement.
DSVV is also committed to environmental sustainability. Its campus maintains a zero-carbon footprint, where recycling and reuse of waste are integral practices. Furthermore, DSVV’s unique environmental initiative, Degree ho Pana to Panch Vriksha Lagana, requires every graduating student to plant five trees, reinforcing the University’s commitment to ecological responsibility.
