About the Department

-Department of Psychology was established in 2002.

-Based on the Vision and philosophy of our founder Patron Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji.

Vision & Mission

The Department of Psychology is committed to fulfilling the vision of the patron founder Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji by advancing mental health through groundbreaking research, effective interventions, and comprehensive curricula.


We strive to integrate indigenous methods of psychotherapy, fostering a holistic approach to psychological well-being along with the all-round development of the students.

Objectives

  1. Offer a robust curriculum that encompasses both traditional and contemporary psychological theories and practices promoting Indian Knowledge Systems..
  2. Encourage experiential learning through internships, fieldwork, and collaborative projects.
  3. Promote interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the understanding and application of indigenous psychotherapeutic methods.
  4. Build strong partnerships with local and global communities to promote mental health awareness and education.
  5. Facilitate outreach programs that provide psychological services and support to underserved populations.
  6. Train practitioners in culturally competent inclusive practices, emphasizing indigenous healing techniques.
