International Literacy Day on the theme “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era" was organised at DSVV. The program highlighted that in today’s world, literacy is not confined to reading and writing alone but also includes the ability to critically understand, evaluate, and responsibly use digital tools and information.
The event featured a series of insightful discussions and case study explorations. One case study, *_Data Culture and Privacy Concerns in the Digital Era_*, focused on the challenges of safeguarding personal data and understanding digital footprints. Another, *_Data Culture as a Driver of Innovation_*, highlighted how organizations can responsibly use data analytics to create user-focused solutions, reflecting the positive potential of a strong digital culture.
Students also engaged in thoughtful discussions on the power and risks of digital literacy, while several participants shared personal experiences of how awareness of digital tools helped them protect themselves from cyber scams.
The session concluded with the message that *true literacy in the digital age is about applying knowledge responsibly—ensuring security, fostering innovation, and contributing to the greater good of society*.
